Does my mattress require a mattress foundation?

Any mattress foundation with slats no more than 5 inches apart will work well with any of our mattresses. While a mattress foundation is not necessary, please be sure that your mattress rests on a surface with minimal to no flex.

How tall are the foundations? How much storage space is available?

Our foundations are available in a selection of varying heights. Please see our chart below for the foundation height options and their corresponding clearance spaces.

Does your trial period include accessories?

Our 120-night trial applies to mattresses only. Sheets, mattress protectors, pillows and foundations can be returned 30 days after the date of delivery for a full refund. Should you need to return sheets, mattress protectors, pillows, or foundations, we ask that you package the merchandise and contact us with package dimensions so that we can email you a prepaid shipping label. We then ask that the merchandise be shipped back to our facility at no charge to you. All sales on adjustable bases are final and non-refundable.

Unfinished slats - splinter risk

"Percently acceptable basic foundation, but the wood slats are super rough at the ends so you are risking painful splinters every time you put a fitted sheet on the mattress. Now I have to buy a cover or bed skirt just so I don't get splinters when changing my sheets."

Excellent product!

"I got this foundation when I got the Titan Plus Lux. It was very easy to assemble right out of the box. I was concerned about that as typically "box spring" foundations come preassembled and difficult to maneuver. I wondered how difficult it would be to assemble but felt it was worth the risk to not have to deal with the maneuvering issues. I am glad I took that chance. The foundation serves the purpose it is designed for very well, and the low profile helps keep the entire bed at a level needed."

I couldn't find any foundation

"I couldn't find any foundation or platform bed lower than 8 inches and had just about given up when I found this perfect piece. It was easy to put together, no tools required, and with my 12" mattress on top I'm exactly 17 inches off the floor, perfect for me and my little dog. Very happy (both of us)!"

Not worth the price, just

"Not worth the price, just get from Wayfair. Quality will be the same but it’ll be $100 less. I ordered this to add lift to my 10” plank mattress I bought from Brooklyn bedding. The wood was split, had holes and was warped. I repaired the wood that was split myself (wood filler, some sanding) but it still tore into the bottom of my brand new mattress. I immediately removed it and disassembled it, gave the wood planks to a friend to use as fire wood and threw away the frame. I reached out to customer service, even though I wasn’t seeking to return it (didn’t want the hassle) but wanted them to know the quality was bad. They said they would refund $30. That is nice, I never asked for this, but it also was never refunded. Just save your money and buy the foundation somewhere else."

Good foundation

"I took a star because it was a bit of a pain to assemble the corners, and there was a warped slat as well as a slat with a large knot and I bought this bed specifically for myself and a heavier partner. It hasn’t caused issues but I can’t justify 5 stars."
